How about participating in an interactive, innovative and game-like experience to help you discover your purpose? The Discovery of Purpose Trail is a free and online program to guide you on a journey of self-knowledge and entrepreneurship.
A participant in the first edition, Paloma Cogo, student in the Nutrition course at the School of Health and Life Sciences at PUCRS, highlights that the experience brought new learnings. “During the Trail I got to know new tools and had important reflections on my profile as an entrepreneur. I also had the opportunity to learn about how to structure an idea and how to assemble a team to turn that idea into reality. It was a very interesting adventure, which I highly recommend.”.
How it works?
It all starts when you mysteriously wake up on a deserted island, not knowing what happened. Your memories are fragmented. From now on, your challenge is to discover your motivations, goals and purpose, to find yourself and unravel the mystery working as a team. With game elements and immersive narratives, you will have contact with Idear methodologies, new concepts and you will also get to know your trail colleagues.
The Discovery of Purpose Trail takes place online, with access through the Moodle platform. Divided into five phases, the experience has challenges that encourage the development of entrepreneurial skills and the discovery of what makes your heart beat faster.
During the journey, you’ll be able to traverse each chapter whenever and wherever you want, with up to two months to complete the path. In addition to the asynchronous content, the training will have forums for chats about the experience, integration between participants and clarification of doubts.
Coordinator of IDEAR, Professor Naira Libermann emphasizes the importance of discovering the purpose for the professional trajectory. “On the Trail, participants begin to reflect on how they can become purposeful professionals and generate an impact on society. The strategic intent of this action is that when we talk about purpose, we are talking about choices. It is very important that students and professionals have in their careers meanings for their personal lives and that we can form citizens with purpose.”.
What to expect from Trail?
This is a different experience than what you have seen so far. To help you develop self-knowledge and discover your purpose, you will create a character (avatar) and will participate in an adventure through an animation divided into chapters. In this story, you mysteriously wake up on a desert island. You don’t know what happened and all your memories are fragmented. From each video, you will be invited to answer reflection and self-knowledge exercises. The goal is for you to find yourself, working as a team to unravel the mystery and discover your purpose.
